Thousands of Dollars in Training Funds Available to Detroit Employers!

 

The Going PRO Talent Fund awards grants to employers to assist in training, developing and retaining current and newly hired employees.


The Going PRO Talent Fund is a grant offered through the State of Michigan and it makes awards to employers to assist in training, developing and retaining current and newly hired employees. Training funded by the Talent Fund must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.

ELIGIBLE TRAINING

Training programs funded by the Talent Fund must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.

  • Classroom/Customized Training
  • On the Job Training for New Employees
  • United States Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeships' first-year through fourth-year Related Technical Instruction (RTI) and/or On The Job Training

REIMBURSEMENT for training

Reimbursement for training can include:

  • Up to $2,000 for Classroom or Customized Training FY 26 Cycle 1
  • Up to $2,000 for On The Job Training for New Employees FY 26 Cycle 1
  • Up to $3,500 for U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeships FY 26 Cycle 1
