Thousands of Dollars in Training Funds Available to Detroit Employers!
The Going PRO Talent Fund is a grant offered through the State of Michigan and it makes awards to employers to assist in training, developing and retaining current and newly hired employees. Training funded by the Talent Fund must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.

- Average Award Amount: $36,149
- Average Training Cost Per Person: $1,198

ELIGIBLE TRAINING
Training programs funded by the Talent Fund must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.
- Classroom/Customized Training
- On the Job Training for New Employees
- Apprenticeships for first-year Dept. of Labor Registered Apprenticeships
REIMBURSEMENT for training
Reimbursement for training can include:
- $2,000 for classroom training
- $2,000 for On The Job Training
- $3,500 for apprenticeships
