You must wear business attire (no jeans/gym shoes). This is a first level interview. Capacity is limited. Durations of recruitment events vary, so please be prepared to spend up to the full day with us.

General Summary:
Detroit area towing company is looking for experienced Dispatchers. The position supports their towing, impound, emergency response, and breakdown services. This position requires the ability to multitask and paying close attention to detail is a must. Customer service skills are valuable as well as the ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities:
•    Administrative and clerical duties; paperwork verification and data entry
•    The primary function is to timely and cost effectively direct and dispatch tow trucks strategically while providing our customers with the best possible service
•    Take incoming calls for towing services, police impounded, and accidents
•    Billing and collections of towing services
•    Determines appropriate towing service needs and dispatches to tow operators
•    Communicates and dispatches to drivers verbally and via text to ensure all information is accurate

Qualifications:
•    Must pass a drug test, criminal background check and a customer service skills assessment test.
•    Applicants who apply must have at least 1 year of dispatch experience, preferably using dispatching software in transportation and/or logistics industry. Geographical knowledge of Detroit and the surrounding cities in Metro Detroit is a plus

•    Proof of public assistance income like an award letter from DHS or Social Security
•    Proof of any income earned from a job in the past 6 months (check stub)
•    A copy of your layoff notice or Unemployment documentation, if you are laid off
