Are you looking to earn a degree in healthcare but need help getting started?

 

Detroit at Work is partnering with Henry Ford College to offer the Bridge to Healthcare Degree program. This program is for Detroit residents looking to get a jumpstart to a degree in healthcare.

 

The Bridge to Healthcare Degree program is a 30-week (two semesters) program where Detroiters can earn college credits toward an associate degree. While in the program, students will have access to additional resources to help them toward their degree in healthcare. 

Classes will be a hybrid model taking place both virtually and in person at Henry Ford College’s Dearborn campus. 

 

How do I qualify?

  • Detroit residents who are looking to gain a degree in a healthcare field with previous healthcare experience
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Must enroll at Henry Ford College
  • Must apply for financial aid

 

Deadline

Seating is limited, enrollment closes March 21st. There is a mandatory orientation on April 25th for approved candidates.  
 

Possible degree pathways include

  • Medical Insurance Specialist 
  • Physical Therapy Assistant 
  • Radiographer
  • Registered Nurse 
  • Respiratory Therapist 
  • Surgical Technologist
