Detroit at Work Construction Fast Track Program

The Detroit at Work Construction & Infrastructure Team has a primary responsibility of engaging industry partner for the benefit of Detroit residents. Our engagement should produce inclusion and opportunities for construction & infrastructure careers and training. The Fast Track Program was develop to maintain a pipeline for the construction industry to hire Detroit residents, connect our training providers and streamline the criteria for recruitment. Contractors are always seeking ready-to-work Detroiters to hire.

Detroit at Work’s Construction Fast Track Program consist of three main components: 

1. Increase the number of Detroit residents for STEP Program Compliance
2. Increase the amount of man-hours work by Detroit residents for Executive Orders 2021-2 compliance tracking
3. Connecting Detroit residents to career opportunities in the construction industry

To ensure inclusion of Detroit residents with employment opportunities by connecting them to employers and careers training in the construction and infrastructure industries.
