Restaurants On The Ave Are Hiring!
ServeUp on the Ave
Detroit at Work is looking for Detroiters who are interested in growing their career in the restaurant industry, and who want to be a part of the resurgence of the Avenue of Fashion on Livernois.
Kuzzo's Chicken and Waffles, Table No. 2, and Good Times on the Ave. are looking to hire and train staff for customer-facing and kitchen positions. Selected applicants will be invited to interview with restaurant owners. Newly hired employees will participate in a two week customer service and culinary training at Breithaupt CTE prior to employment.
Applications must be completed online by Friday, January 10th.
The training will give employees the following certifications:
- Customer Service
- ServSafe Food Handler
- ServSafe Allergen
- TIPP for servers
Retention workshops will also be available to trainees for the first month to help employees succeed.

Training Information
The program runs for two weeks on these days and times:
Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday to Thursday from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

Kitchen: Dishwashers, Line Cooks
Potential manager/supervisor positions
