What do I do next?
- Career Readiness Training is a 2-Week series of modules designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to (re)enter the workforce.. Modules include topics such as critical thinking, goal setting, stress management, advocating for yourself, and other subjects that prepare you to enter an educational track or career path. In addition to learning employability skills, participants learn financial literacy skills including managing credit and debt, banking practices, proper credit cards usage, and other topics related to making informed decisions on personal finances.
- After you have completed Career Readiness, provide a weekly tracking sheet (employment search activities).
- Meet with the Talent Sourcing Specialist (TSS) for assistance in finding employment.
- Review goals and progress weekly with Talent Sourcing Specialists (TSS).
- Once employment is obtained, verification will be needed.
- Hire information will be requested by TSS.
- Follow-up will be needed for 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 1 year to ensure you are still employed.
- If participant is no longer employed, please repeat employment process.
- After you have completed Career Readiness
- Meet with your career coach to select desired training courses.
- Attend and complete all required training activities.
- Be available throughout the training journey; monthly discussing goal after graduation.
- Prior to completing training request to meet with TSS staff to transition into employment
- Once certification is obtained, complete transition to Talent Sourcing Specialist (TSS)
- The participant will transition from Training Track to Employment Track.
- Meet with your Career Coach to enroll into the GED program.
- Be available throughout the educational journey; monthly discussing goal after graduation.
- Once GED is obtained, Confirm next step.
- Enroll in the next 2-Week Career Readiness and complete.
- If Training, register for chosen Training and complete paperwork.
- If Employment, refer to closest Talent Sourcing Specialist
- The participant will transition from GED Track to the Employment/Training Track.
- Meet with your career coach to enroll into the Skill Refresh program.
- Be available throughout the educational journey; discussing goal monthly after graduation.
- After 2 months, CASAS test to determine progress and if ready for training. If still progressing, retest every 2 months.
- Once training levels have been achieved you are ready for the next step.
- Meet with your career coach to determine the next step.
- Enroll in the next 2-week Career Readiness and complete.
- If training, discuss your training selection with your career coach for enrollment.
- If employment, discuss your transition to TSS Staff for help finding employment.
- The participant will transition from Skill Refresh Track to the Training/Employment Track
