Location: Northwest Activities Center 18100 Meyers rd, Detroit, MI 48235
You must wear business attire (no jeans/gym shoes). This is a first level interview. Capacity is limited. 
Durations of recruitment events vary, so please be prepared to spend up to the full day with us. 

General Summary:
Are you looking to start a new career? Are you interested in working in the City of Detroit? Do you have a great personality and positive attitude? If so, employers within the City of Detroit are looking for you!!! Join us for an opportunity to start your new career. You will get the chance to meet each employer face to face and discuss your career plans for the future. 

Employers will be in attendance to do on the spot interviews. Training providers will also be on site to inform any interested parties in training opportunities. Please come prepared to interview multiple times throughout the day. There will be full and part-time positions to choose from. Pay rates vary on position and skill.

  • Servers
  • General Cleaners
  • Ticket attendants
  • Housekeeping
  • City Ambassadors
  • Cooks 
  • Hostess
  • Customer Service Agents
  • And many more

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid Michigan ID or Driver’s license 
  • Valid Email Address 

FOR REGISTRATION PURPOSES ALL APPLICANTS MUST PRESENT THE FOLLOWING:
   REQUIRED: 

  •    Your valid (non-expired) Michigan ID or Driver’s License 
  •    Your Social Security Card or Passport 
  •    Several copies of your resume 

   OPTIONAL: 

  •    A copy of your DD214 or letter from the VA if you are a veteran 
  •    Proof of public assistance income like an award letter from DHS or Social Security 
  •    Proof of any income earned from a job in the past 6 months (check stub)
